When you become a member of CalGeo at UCLA, you will have a great opportunity to get to know many geoprofessionals that are also part of our large network. These industry members are often from major geotechnical firms that may look to hire UCLA students in the future. It will also give you the opportunity to gain a strong understanding of what geotechnical and earthquake engineering is all about at UCLA, and in California. You will also be able to participate in fun competitions and other member events to expand your knowledge and understanding of geotechnical engineering.
Now is the time to get involved in geotechnical engineering because it is a growing section of civil engineering and is quickly becoming understood as extremely important not only in California, but around the world. It is also a great time for industry professionals to get involved with our UCLA student group. The UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science produces some of the best engineering professionals and now is the perfect time to start meeting the future leaders of the industry. If you have any ideas for joint events or would like to advertise or recruit at UCLA, please get feel free to contact us at anytime!
Membership fees for CalGeo this year are $15.00 for a full year membership. As a member you can attend all of our events free of charge and receive a club t-shirt! Non-members will have to pay $15.00 to attend our field trips
